I want to reset my Mantra to a different one. I set it and confirmed it on the Mantra page. Why is my Avatar still doing the same Mantra? If you choose a Mantra on the Mantra page it does not have an effect until the required repetitions of the Mantra you have chosen before are completed (this in the meaning of one Purasharana). If you choose another one - you can see that this is reflected on the statistics page. Please look on the statistics page under the entry 'Next Mantra'. Whats written under 'Next Mantra' is the Mantra your computer will start with, as soon as it finished the last process. OM won't last so long, but if you choose the Gayatri Mantra this will take you some months. If you really made a 'longterm mistake' you may want to register with a new user account. No problem.

I have the screensaver installed but even if I log in to the site first, it says I am not logged in and calls me FRIEND in VIEWING mode. Assume this means the mantras are not logged to server ? Right. The first idea is to check wether your browser accepts cookies. This is necessary for the screensaver module to recognize you as a registered user. If this is not the reason, see the next question...

I've registered, and downloaded the screensaver, however it seems I cannot log in the screen saver. It is only in my web browser (I use Mozilla Firefox and Camino on Powerbook G4, Mac OS X 10.4) that I can log in, but it does not follow in the screensaver. Any thoughts? The screensaver module uses the underlaying functionalityof the standard browsers (Safari for Mac, Internet Explorer for Windows). You can see the cookie set in the options menu of Safari/Internet Explorer. If you usually dont use these standard browsers (reasonably ;o) - give your self a kick and use them just once to login at Meditation for Avatars. The screen saver then is initiallized. You need not use them again.

If I wait for my Avatar to complete the Mantra it is on, it just starts a new Purascharana/Session of the same Mantra. What can I do to change the Mantra? Choose the Mantra you want your Computer to meditate with on the Mantra Page. The Mantra you chose will appear on the statistics page under the entry 'Next Mantra'. Please be aware: it will start this Mantra as soon as the current Mantra your computer is working with will be completed. The number of repetions left can be found also on the statistics page under the entry 'Repetitions left'.

Is the program meditating when I am working on the computer or only when it is idle? I don't leave my computer on when not using it, as I use solar energy. Wow, you use solar energy - that' s great. If someone leaves the computer, the screensaver can do the prayers during idle time. But any other practice is as good as this - if you only leave your computer on when working, you can start the browser and let the program run there. How do I become advanced user? Only seems to be option for registered user. Yes, you have to register first. Then download and install the screensaver module. After you have installed the screensaver, your computer automatically logs into the server as soon as no user activity is taking place.
